A Message from Our CEO
At The Life Matters, our mission is simple but urgent: to give every child and young person the chance to be heard, to heal, and to live.
Every day, we work alongside children and families who are navigating some of the most difficult experiences imaginable—self-harm, suicidal thoughts, trauma, and emotional isolation. We exist to offer early, compassionate, and expert intervention, because we believe that no child should ever feel that their life doesn’t matter.
Our work is rooted in listening. When a child says, "I don’t want to be here anymore," we hear them. We respond with empathy support, and the unwavering belief that their voice matters. That’s why we’ve developed evidence-based programmes like A Child’s Voice—co-designed by young people themselves—to give children tools to manage emotions, rebuild confidence, and feel safe again.
We also know that lasting change happens when communities come together. Whether you’re a parent, teacher, social worker, or supporter, you are part of the solution. Your involvement—whether through training, partnership, or fundraising—enables us to extend life-saving support to more children, in more places.
Thank you for believing in our mission. Together, we are not only preventing tragedy—we are building hope.
Warm regards,
Mary Brockwell
