More About The Childs Voice Model

Empowering a Child’s Voice
At The Life Matters, everything we do is designed to put children at the heart of support, helping them speak up, be heard, and build resilience. Our approach combines evidence-based practice, clinical research, and the insights of children themselves.
Collaborative Approach
We work closely with child protection, safeguarding, and statutory services—including schools, social care, and public health teams—to ensure children are supported across all areas of their lives.
Direct Support for Young People
Our programmes provide both one-to-one interventions and group support, helping children navigate challenges and develop practical coping strategies.
Training for Adults
We equip teachers, carers, and professionals with the skills to identify, respond to, and prevent risks affecting children, creating a safer, more supportive environment.
Resilience Building
Through structured, engaging sessions, children develop confidence, emotional strength, and social skills to thrive both now and in the future.
Evidence-Informed and Safe
Our trademarked 10-week A Child’s Voice programme, licensed to The Life Matters and recognised by BBC Radio Kent, combines social work practice with clinical research. It is co-designed with children and young people to ensure it meets their needs and remains unique in the UK. Robust safeguarding measures are embedded throughout, ensuring a secure and supportive environment for all participants.
Recognition
We contribute to multi-agency initiatives led by the Kent Safeguarding Board, ensuring our programmes align with national standards and best practice for keeping children safe.
