Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer Opportunity at The Life Matters Our Mission At The Life Matters, we transform the lives of children, young adults, and families by delivering evidence-based services that promote emotional wellbeing and resilience.
About the Role We are seeking dedicated volunteers to support vulnerable children across various settings. This diverse role involves helping children develop coping strategies and build resilience to improve their mental health. Volunteers will work closely within the policies and procedures of The Life Matters, with full training and ongoing mentorship provided. Key Requirements: Experience or qualifications working with vulnerable children.
An enhanced DBS check is mandatory. Knowledge of safeguarding principles is highly desirable. Commitment to a minimum of 8 hours per month to ensure consistency for the children. Flexibility to work in a range of settings including schools, youth hubs, and GP surgeries, with willingness to travel to reasonable locations.
Petrol expenses will be reimbursed. Recruitment Process: Volunteers will be invited to an interview conducted by The Life Matters Board of Trustees. We are committed to fair recruitment practices in line with the Equality Act 2010. Interested?
