Investment in A Child’s Voice®
A Child’s Voice® is a registered, trademark-protected intervention developed and delivered by The Life Matters.
The £250 fee is a per-child licence. It is not a workbook purchase. Some might think £250 is expensive, but it’s nothing compared to helping a child stop self-harming and prevent a suicide attempt.
Each licence grants:

A Child’s Voice® is intellectual property. It cannot be photocopied, replicated, or delivered outside of licence. The fee reflects the expertise, safeguarding rigour, development, and professional support embedded within the programme.
We do not discount the licence fee.
Maintaining this standard ensures that every child receives the full integrity of the intervention and that schools receive consistent, high-quality support.
A Child’s Voice® is positioned as a preventative early-intervention investment. The financial and human cost of crisis-level mental health intervention far exceeds the cost of structured early support. Schools investing in this programme are choosing evidence-informed prevention over reactive response.
Funding is commonly accessed through pupil premium, safeguarding allocations, wellbeing budgets, or external grant funding.

This professional training equips you to deliver A Child’s Voice®, a trauma-informed early intervention programme for children and young people aged 8–18 experiencing:

A Child’s Voice®: Empowering Children & Strengthening Safeguarding
At The Life Matters, we believe every child has the right to be heard, respected, and protected. A Child’s Voice® is designed to give children practical tools they own themselves, supporting both emotional wellbeing and safeguarding.
Child and parent/carer (or corporate parent) consent is a core safeguarding principle of this programme. It ensures ethical, trauma-informed, child-centred practice. We do not compromise a child’s wellbeing for convenience, cost, or organisational preference.

Our programme, A Child’s Voice, is designed to empower children with tools they own themselves as part of safeguarding measures. Consent from children and their parents, carers, corporate parent is a core principle, not a flaw — it protects them and ensures ethical, trauma-informed, child-centred care. We will never compromise a child’s wellbeing for convenience, cost-saving, or institutional comfort.
Programme Delivery & Facilitators
A Child’s Voice is delivered by trained facilitators with safeguarding training and enhanced DBS checks. Facilitators receive a CPD certificate for life, with mandatory refresher CPD every three years to maintain programme currency and safeguarding compliance.
Pupil Workbooks & Licensing
Each pupil receives their own licensed hard-copy workbook to keep. Workbooks are integral to the programme, supporting reflection, resilience, and safeguarding. They may be updated periodically to reflect legal, ethical, or programme developments, and new purchases always include the latest version.
Pricing & Refunds
Training and workbooks are £250 each. Fees are non-refundable once training begins or workbooks are supplied, including if a participant leaves early or changes their mind. This policy ensures we can maintain high-quality safeguarding training and programme delivery.
